Statement by the Bakhvi 1 Hydropower Plant Project Implementer Company CCEH Hydro VI

This is to inform you that, per the decision of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, public hearing of the Environmental Impact Assessment Report for construction and operation of the run-off-river Bakhvi 1 Hydropower Plant will be held on February 10 and 11, 2022.

Scheduled date, time, and location:

February 10, 2022

10:00 a.m. - Chokhatauri Municipality Administrative Unit Building

4:30 p.m. - Ozurgeti Municipality Administrative Building

February 11, 2022

10:30 a.m. - Ozurgeti Municipality, Village Mtispiri Administrative Unit Building

4:30 p.m. - Chokhatauri Municipality, Village Chkhakaura Administrative Building

In accordance with the Environmental Assessment Code, the authorized environmental decision-making body is the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia and the organizer of the public hearing is also the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia.  

The EIA Report of the Bakhvi 1 Hydropower Plant Project was submitted to the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia on December 20 2021, and was made public on the official Ministry website on December 23 2021
