Agrotourism Festival Held in Ureki
Agrotourism festival was held in Ureki with the support of Ozurgeti Municipality City Hall, Bakhvi HPP LLC and USAID Economic Security Program.
Products of the entrepreneurs living in Ozurgeti, Lanchkhuti and Chokhatauri were presented at the festival, including tea, honey, dry fruit, churchkhela, wine and vodka.
The aim of the festival was to popularize local products and attract tourists. For the visitors of the resort, wine corners were arranged and wine producers offered the visitors the opportunity for local wine tasting, while tea makers introduced the history and specific features of Georgian tea to the interested guests. At the festival, the corners reflecting the region's tourism potential were also arranged.
The festival was organized by the Association Tea Route. For almost a year, Bakhvi HPP LLC and USAID Economic Security Program have been actively working on strengthening the Association. With the assistance of Bakhvi HPP, the Association purchased special stands and arranged lighting. On these stands were displayed tea varieties produced in Guria
"We are strengthening the Association and its members. Our goal is to implement projects in Guria that will contribute to the sustainable development of the local population, attract and create wealth and strengthen families. This requires, on the one hand, development of production and hospitality capacity, something in which we are currently engaged in, and on the other hand, more intensive popularization of the region and local products. This event, which we are supporting together with our strategic partners, the local city hall and USAID program, serves the purpose of popularization," said David Mikeladze, Bakhvi HPP ESG Manager.
Agrotourism festival was held for one day and had numerous visitors, among them the representatives of supporting organizations, Bakhvi HPP LLC and USAID Economic Security Program managers.
